The Dervish is a nine-legged radially symmetrical combat drone. Its origins are a mystery to The Resistance — it does not bear even superficial resemblance to any known manufacturer's products. It typically operates in groups of three, and can be found on all levels and districts of the SCIRE.

In sentry configuration, it functions as a walker, able to move slowly and carefully across a wide variety of terrain. To date it has not demonstrated an ability to fire it's main weapon in this mode.

In attack configuration, the Dervish lifts up on the ends of its nine limbs and spins rapidly. It appears to have some sort of gyroscopic system to keep itself upright and attains propulsion by rapidly altering the length and angle of it's nine legs. The motion is somewhat erratic, making it difficult to target.

While in this mode, it is capable of launching darts in all directions. Acting much like a fully automatic shotgun, these rounds are laced with a potent neurotoxin that inhibits movement and eventually results in paralysis.
