Banned Qualities
Qualities listed here are not allowed, even if Chummer shows them.
- Codeblock (Brute Force)[1] — Brute Force is almost always the inferior choice to Hack On The Fly, so this quality is basically points for free. Other versions of Codeblock are allowed.
Adjusted Qualities
- Cynic[2] — Change the last sentence to: The character receives a +1 die modifier whenever they are the defender in an Opposed Social Test.
- Lazy Fingers[3] — A larger penalty on something that already has a large enough penalty you wouldn't regularly do it should not be worth free points. Characters with this quality may never use Brute Force or Hack On The Fly to gain multiple marks in a single action.
- Perfect Time[4] — This quality costs 10 karma.
New Positive Qualities
Bodyguard
Cost: 10 Karma
Prerequisites: Charisma and Intuition totalling 7 or higher, Combat Tactics 3, Handguns 3
Characters with this quality apply a +2 dice pool modifier to Perception checks, and choose one of the following: Ready Weapon (Pistol) as a Free Action or Take Aim (Pistol) as a Free Action
Deductive Defender
Cost: 3 Karma
Knowledge is power, and being able to deduce where exactly an attack is most likely to land can turn a deadly hit into a near miss. This quality allows the character to use their Logic in place of their Willpower attribute while using Full Defense.
Handy
Cost: 1 Karma
This character always carries all sorts of small things with them, just in case they’re needed. Up to twice per day, when the runner successfully buys one item with a maximum 6-hour delivery time, they can choose to have had the item with them the whole time, “just in case”. This cannot be used on items with an R or F availability. If the runner is not near their car, truck, home, a large piece of luggage, or other places where larger items of theirs could have been stored, they cannot use this ability on items that have a Concealability greater than +0.
Hey, This Is Easy!
Cost: 1 Karma
This character has a knack for learning all sorts of new things. Reduce the training time for learning a new active or knowledge skill down to Instant. This means that as long as the character has the necessary karma, they can always instantly learn a new active or knowledge skill at Rating 1.
[Heat/Cold/Pollution/Radiation] Adjusted
Cost: 1 Karma per Level (Max 2)
This character has spent so much time in a certain environment that they do not suffer from the effects of its mild extremities. At levels 1 and 2, the character does not suffer fatigue effects of Mild environmental severity in the chosen environment. At level 2, the character treats fatigue effects of Moderate environmental severity in the chosen environment as if they were Mild. Radiation Adjusted is incompatible with Rad-Tolerant and Radiation Sponge.
Lives Below Means
Cost: 1 Karma
This character tends to be more frugal in the way they live. Decrease lifestyle costs by 10%. Treat Comforts and Necessities as if they were 1 level lower.
Panzer

Prerequisites: Must have a modified Body for damage soaking purposes of 5 or higher, plus any two of: Dermal Plating, Dermal Sheathing, Orthoskin, Bone Density Augmentation, Bone Lacing, Smartskin, or one Cyberlimb with Armor
Characters with this quality may choose one of:
- A +2 dice pool modifier to resist fear and intimidation, including magically induced fear from spells or critter powers
- They may substitute their unmodified Body attribute for Charisma when calculating their Intimidation dice pool
In addition, they may chose one of:
- They can ignore two boxes of damage when calculating wound modifiers (which cannot be combined with the Pain Resistance adept power, pain editor bioware, or damage compensator bioware).
- They receive a +1 dice pool modifier to Body when making Damage Resistance tests.
This quality may be taken twice to select the options not picked the first time.

Same as Prejudiced (Specific, Biased), but the effects are halved.

Characters may have their citizenship recognized in more than one nation. Twice the SINs comes with twice the trouble if the character commits a crime — most nation states that recognize dual citizenship also have reciprocity clauses when it comes to Criminal SINs, and those that don't usually don't recognize dual citizenship in the first place.
