Template:SIN is used to create System Identification Numbers for Characters. They don't have any real meaning or impact on the game, this template mostly exists to add versimilitude.

It accepts a number of mandatory parameters.

Block A - Issuer

The first block of a SIN concerns the issuing party.

  • type is the class of SIN issued. It must be one of National, Criminal, EXtraterritorial, or Refugee.
  • issuer is a two letter code — use the ISO 3166 country code for real world nations (or successors, i.e. the UCAS uses the United States US). For new nations and megacorporations, consult the list to the right.
  • issued is a hexidecimal representation of the year the SIN was issued.
    • For those born prior to the initial creation of SINs (2036 in the UCAS, later elsewhere) the year of introduction will be the issue date.
    • For those born after the initial issue year, it will correspond to the year of birth.
    • Criminal SINs issued to those who are SINless use the date of arrest.
    • Refugee SINs use the date the refugee status was granted.
