The Biometric Reader, not to be confused with the maglock upgrade of the same name, can be used as the Collector for Facial Recognition, Print Scanners, and Retina Scanners. Use twice the device's rating of 3 as the die pool. However, the device's scanning range is limited to a few centimeters and its scans include photospectrometry and holotomography — it glows. There's absolutely nothing subtle about this device, but it is quick.
The STATscan can also perform the same function, but it's a much more flexible and powerful device. Use a Medicine + Logic [Mental] Test.
