Shadowrun Fifth Edition Core Rulebook

Armor Modifications[1]

Chemical Protection, Fire Resistance, Insulation, Nonconductivity, Thermal Dampening, and any other armor modification that narratively protects a significant portion of the body cannot be installed in armor accessories like forearm guards and helmets.

Chemical Protection provides its rating as additional armor against Acid Damage[2].

Run & Gun

Any suit of armor that provides a benefit to Intimidation instead provides the same benefit to the Command skill as a whole.

Ares Victory[3]

This outfit also includes Chemical Protection and and Fire Resistance[1], both at R:2. The benefit to Social Tests does not require wireless functionality.

Hardened Mil-Spec Battle Armor[4]

While the Hardened Armor property means it doesn't have the same issues as Security Armor, for consistency's sake, the same adjustments apply — increase the Armor Rating of Light Hardened Mil-Spec Battle Armor to 16 and the Helmet to +4.

Security Armor[5]

As published, there is not enough advantage to Light Security Armor to justify the price over Full Body Armor[1] — increase the Armor Rating to 16, and the Armor Rating of the Helmet to +4.
