Jordan Muraro was born just after the turn of the century in Charleston, SC, USA to an aspiring author and a US Army artillerist. When he came of age (2020), he followed his father's footsteps into the service himself. He underwent Goblinization during basic training. With the aid of Army doctors, he managed to come out little the worse for wear.
He initially only planned to serve four years, but re-upped in 2024 when the Army started broadly deploying vehicle control rigs among the tank forces Jordan was assigned to. The new technology came with a promotion alongside an eight-year commitment, but he felt it was worth it to be on the bleeding edge of new technology. He remained in the service until 2040, when he took his 20-year retirement pension and left.
As his particular unit had been a southern unit, he became a Confederation citizen when the CAS seceded in 2034. Instead of returning home after retiring, he moved to Seattle. He met his future wife, Kiji, during the Night of Rage when he protected her from a mob of angry metahumans. He understood where they were coming from, having grown up in the CAS, but he couldn't let them attack a defenseless woman, having grown up in the CAS.
They dated for a number of years and eventually married. Her Renraku corporate SIN entitled them to live in the arcology long before it's official opening in 2504. He took a job in the facilities maintenance department, working in the elevator repair shop on Level 10, while she was the curator for one of the arcology's art museums.
As a resident, he was present when the shutdown began, initially locked in his workroom. He joined up with a group of shadowrunners to figure out what was going on. In the course of their investigations, they learned that his wife had been executed for unknown reasons.
