Sold as the ''Kensetsu-Jū'' (literally translated as "Construction Beast") in most regions, but called the Renraku ''Work Spider'' in the less language-tolerant UCAS and CAS markets, this medium construction drone is a four-legged walker with two mechanical arms. The mechanical arms can be equipped with a variety of modular tools — saws, drills, grippers, and so on — a small selection of which can be carried in the drone's rear equipment bay. These tools can be hot-swapped by the carrying drone, or handed off to other drones.
These drones are remarkably dull-witted. Once a Spider has been assigned a task, it will doggedly pursue its objective until it completes the chore or receives a new task. These constructs generally pose no risk to metahumans unless one gets in the way of their duties or actively attacks them. Rule of thumb: don't bother them, and they won't bother you.
