Spider is a fixture in the Puyallup and Tacoma club scenes, know to have sources for all sorts of party favors. Rumor has it that they're a Japanacorp-kid that did something to piss off mommy and daddy and got their SIN revoked. Whether it was for being a bad child, refusing to conform to Japanese cultural gender norms, or not being purebred Japanese (at 191 cm (6 ft 3 in), they are exceptionally tall for a human of Japanese descent) is anybody's guess. The jury is still out on which corporation they were kicked out.

Some elements of the shadowcommunity know better — Spider has access to more chemical substances than just the recreational kind. They're rumored to have a pipeline into a chemical refinery or warehouse somewhere in Tacoma, and use that to get raw materials to cook chemical cocktails of all kinds. So far, they've managed to remain an independent operator, avoiding entanglements with any of the larger drug rings in the Seattle Metroplex.

Shirayuri has answers to some of those questions, but she's not talking... especially not from inside the SCIRE.
