In Deus' SCIRE, the bulk of his servants consist of the "Green Banded" — a mix of scientists, bureaucrats, and technicians, they run his experiments and attend to the prisoners whose fate has not yet been determined. Many of them also perform mundane arcology tasks and functions that Deus has continued: water purification, ventilation, hydroponics, factory operations, system repairs and so forth.
