Adelaide Gaspar is the only child of two Renraku SINners. Her birth was not a sure thing, as she suffered from a variety of in utero afflictions due to her parent's previously unidentified genetic traits. Treatments before and after birth resulted in a mostly healthy child, with the only long term effect being albinism. Still, her parents called her "their treasure" a nickname that stuck once she reached school age and her friends heard it used.

Aside from her striking appearance, she grew up much as any other corporate born SINner did. When the arcology began accepting residents in 2045 (age 2), Adelaide's family was one of the first to move in. She has no clear memories of living anywhere else.
