Aaron Gallardo is formerly an armorer with the UCAS FBI, who left for the private sector after Chicago.

He was born into a law enforcement family, with an unbroken line all the way back to the founding of the FBI in 1908. He was primarily raised by his paternal grandfather — his father was killed in the line of duty when he was four, and his mother died of a drug overdose soon after.

In addition to his grandfather, his father's partner was involved in his life. She had left the FBI after his father's death, parleying her government agent experience into a legislative career as a Representative in the UCAS Congress. While his grandfather made sure he received the appropriate survivors benefits, she arranged scholarships as well.

After college, he joined the Bureau as all the other males in his family before him. With a degree in mechanical engineering, he pursued a support role rather than a field agent. His career was nothing spectacular, but entirely acceptable to his family. There was no pressure to be a superstar, just to serve his country.

He was working out of the Chicago field office in 2055 (age 33) during the Bug City situation, resulting him being temporarily assigned to field duty to assist the UCAS Army is setting up the Containment Zone. After the situation was resolved, he resigned from the Bureau to take up employment with Ares Arms.

He spent the next few years working as the Chief Armorer for the Seattle division of WeaponsWorld. He was in the SCIRE branch, conducting an inspection when the Shutdown began.
