While elves were somewhat sparred the brunt of human prejudice against metahumans — it was mostly heaped on the "uglies" — Hedy Kiesler was not so lucky. At age 5, she was among those injured in the Hands of Five firebombing during the Night of Rage. Her parents, elves born in the first wave pf UGE, were even less lucky. While they survived the firebombing, both later died of secondary injuries.

To look at her now, one might not believe she was a burned and broken child. Hedy was informally adopted and raised by a group of other survivors, part of the founders of Tarislar. This eventually lead to becoming a blooded member of the Ancients motorcycle gang, whose access to milspec technology eventually allowed her to eliminate all the scars of her youth (the physical ones) via bioware enhancements.

While an accomplished decker who specializes in validating and brokering paydata, Headcase also has a violent streak wider than she is tall — and even for an elf, she's a big girl. Her hatred of humans and law enforcement is legendary in the Barrens. Oh, unless you're a blooded ancient, too, don't call her Headcase to her face, unless you want yours pounded in.

One has to wonder what she'd do to Garbo if she learned his full background and didn't know him in one of his false faces.
