The group heads back towards the mall levels in search of a way out of the SCIRE.
Session 1 - 2023/02/02
Window Shopping

Between Level 10 and Level 6, the team has multiple encounters with Work Spiders going about their business. They seem to be restructuring parts of the SCIRE, working to an unknown plan.
When they reach the Club Quarter, Garbo realizes that there is no matrix activity — if there's anything or anyone online, it's running silent. Shirayuri mentions that the security cameras are all hardwired. Fräulein suggests that they could paint them over; Loki has a disguise kit with theatrical makeup.
Shirayuri spots cameras near their destination. Loki volunteers to cover up cameras, and only makes it to the first one before slipping up. From there, he realizes Shirayuri is stealthier than he'll ever be and uses his invisibility magic and lets her handle it.
Hard Rock Cafe

The team reaches the Frag Grenade, a screech metal club whose aesthetics involve hunks of twisted metal reminiscent of upscaled shrapnel, blast craters, and grey dust. The queue uses a chain-link fence with decorative barbed wire, while the entrance and exit are airlock-like iris portals.
Mr. Muraro stays behind in overwatch, while the rest sneak up and Shirayuri bypasses yet another maglock. First inside, she spots of a stack of bodies on the stage, thermographic vision indicating they may still be alive. Loki moves up to to investigate the bodies astrally with, Garbo providing cover.
The team identifies movement in the stack of bodies, but also sees a Work Spider nearby. It appears to be in standby mode, but they're not one-hundred percent certain. Shirayuri sneaks up to check on the movement, which triggers the drones to attack.
At one point, Kazuki disappears behind the terrain only reappearing to somehow save Garbo from a charging drone. It stumbles over nothing, which leads the group to believe he may have some sort of special ability.
During the fight, Shirayuri manages to extract a dwarven woman from the pile. She initially freaks out, but Garbo is able to talk her down.
Helicopter Parenting

Mr. Muraro rejoins the group to play overwatch along with Liam and Loki as they access the landing bay. Shirayuri scouts ahead, spotting some sort of centipede drones for a make and model she has never seen before.
If they notice the group, they don't react. They appear to be depositing something on the door, lumpy and organic looking. Loki casts ignite on one of the things that the centipede is laying, it goes up in flames and its neighbors start making a buzzing noise.
Shirayuri moves in to check out the area, but is greeted by a trio of Dervishes. She destroys one immediately, the falls back to cover. She gets the drop on a second one as it comes around that cover, while the rest of the team engages the third. They put some damage on it with spells and firearms, but Shiriyuri scores the third kill as well.
Meanwhile, the centipedes continue to do their work, ignoring the battle around them.
Session 2 - 2023/02/09
Uncontrolled Air Traffic

Shirayuri and Liam scale the elevator shaft to access the control pod and check the door controls. The shaft goes all the way up to Level 30, with the control pod at Level 9.
Inside, they find a damaged centipede segment, two injured flight controllers, and a mess of Dervish fire. They quickly determine one of the controllers is dead, but the other is only mortally wounded. Fräulein levitates herself and Saffron up the shaft while the others continue to search the area.
Shirayuri and Liam determine that the drone and the dead man were both shot by a medium caliber pistol. Blood trails from the bathroom indicate there maybe have been one (or more) additional people here. In any case, this is not a way out — the control pod has no power.
After they stabilize the dying flight controller, they rip the door from a storage locker and use it as a backboard to aid in levitating him down the elevator shaft.
Temporary Accomodations

While others are going up the shaft, Garbo and the others break into one of the VIP lounges. It's well appointed, with comfortable couches, a wet bar, bathrooms, and storage lockers. They loot the lockers, finding a few pieces of fashion armor and a pair of Erika See-Me-Not Anti-Paparazzo glasses — sunglasses with Flare Compensation[1] for the camera flashes and integrated Faceless[2] to ruin the shots.
Around 1900 the light fades; they realize the sun must have gone down, so the SCIRE's light pipes are no longer illuminating this area. Without electricity anywhere in the block, the artificial illumination doesn't come up.
The team decides they need to rest for a bit. They're concerned they wont find a safer place before Loki and Liam crash from earlier stimpatch usage, and Saffron could use more time to make sure Soma is safe to transport.
While being treated, Soma is able to provide some more information. They control pod was attacked by a group of four in Renraku company outfits. Both his co-worker and he were shot before they knew what was happening. He did hear the doors move after he was shot, before he passed out, but it wasn't long enough for a full cycle. He's uncertain if that's because he passed out or because they stopped the doors mid-cycle.
The party discusses future plans:
- Level 40 for medical supplies from the hospital, because the changes on Level 10 make them concerned it may be in use (or planned for use) by the hostiles.
- Level 48 to check on Mr. Muraro's wife.
- Level 51 because the hydroponics facilities should be full of foodstuffs and might be a good place to hole up.
- Level 231 to check on Shirayuri's family.
They'd also like to check on Mae's family, but they realize none of them know where she lived. There's also some conversation about where the Red Samurai are, how they've responded to the situation, where they're housed, etc.
Once they've all rested up, they head back to the elevator facility on Level 10.
Session 3 - 2023/02/16
Elevator Lullabies

Loki is woken up by Liam's snoring and notices that Kazuki is missing. He calls his microtransciever, but it's still by his bedroll. Fräulein bitches in German about being woken up. Shirayuri confirms that she can see the kid nearby, sleeping in one of the elevator cars — she doesn't mention that he's curled up with her.
Shirayuri hears someone shout in German. Shirayuri apparently saw the kid sleeping nearby in one of the elevator.
The kid is talking to Safron. Shirayuri overhears the kid saying that they are broadcasting and its going to get them killed.
Liam gets Garbo to drop his Santa disguise.
He apparently can tell for the some reason. Though he only talk through Saffron.
The plan is to take the stairs up.
We sneak over to some stairs.
The Worker spiders are doing stuff on the floor though it not clear what their overall plans are. The Dervishes are around but in spider mode. Some on moving things, others are building things. And it is like that all the way up to Level 30. Stairs only go up two or three floors before we need to find a new stairway. At 30 to the stairway in between 30 and 31 are sealed with biohazard protocols are in affect. There is a sign on this side of the door claiming a biohazard. The door unlike the rest of building has power.
There are still drones about. The floors are being scavangers.
The next stairway has the same biohazard seal.
Shirayuri tries an elevator shaft and find the elevator is sealed too.
The plan now is to have Liam break the seal on the stairways. Shirayuri and Fraulein will go up and scout out the next floor. Loki will send an Air Spirit to help. Liam will follow slightly behind them. Loki can project to follow them.
Garbo will stay back and guard the civilians in an office with Mr. Muraro.
Shirayuri goes to open the door on the elevator. It takes a while but she open the door.
The biomonitor does not go off initially. Looking up there are biohazard door some stories above her.
Loki manifests to talk to the team, Fraulein tells him to scout. Loki tells his spirit to take his Spirit to take the rest of runners downstairs if the the runners pass out.
Fraulein hears a squeling noise in the elevator shaft. Loki sees floor 50 has another biohazard door blocking off the way above it.
It becomes clear there is something to that is reacting to the magic in the area.
The reactive devices being set against us can detect an approaching astral presence, and the whine they emit cannot be heard on the astral. Also, they don't emit a whine when they're being directly targeted with Ignite.
The group is checking the floor to see if the biohazard doors on sealed on doors going up and to see if there really is a biohazard threat.
The 31st floor is in between residental blocks, the residental doors have quaratine seals on it.
Loki goes into one of the units, sees a family and manifests. The husband walks out the room and then goes backs into his bedroom and sets off an alarm.
Alarms goes off and lights direct things into the room.
Session 4 - 2023/02/23

what is required by Template:Scene!Retroactive Things: Fräulein is the one who is projecting and went into an apartment to see if people were inside.
Boy playing video games, sister who is complaining, mother who is in the kitchen working.
Mother Assensing Healthy, Nervous and afraid, Mundane, some headware, not magical, not seen aura before, higher essence. Extreme stress is only Malady, no signatures.
In another apartment there is a kid that looks absolutely miserable. He has a throbbing headache and he has cyberware in his head. Placement says probably Data Jack but he is way to young.
The parents are more concerned and more nervous than mother across the hall. They seem, to be talking about it. He is uncomfortable, blah blah. Were under quarantine, if it wasn't something needed to do wouldn't have been done.
Fräulein reports back her findings but as they are talking Shirayuri hears someone and hushes group. She goes to check, and Fräulein dematerializes
Shirayuri knocked out the two nurses. We decide to take their uniforms with Liam and Shirayuri going as the nurses, Fräulein and Kazuki can be the children on the form.
All doors have the warning message. Stairs are not sealed off. No drones about. Cameras are small/well hidden as normal. We do pass other nurses, everyone wearing masks. One group, a girl of maybe 7 head is wrapped and heading back down.
Fräulein notices that Kazuki does not seem surprised, good actor or not surprised by what is going on.
On Hospital floor Shirayuri recognizes her doctor, , she now has green eyes and 4 robotic arms coming from her back. She is a Cybersurgeon. Dr. Vidhava. She had a Red Samurai with her too.
Fräulein mentions about Cyberlimbs additional ones, because human brain can't control them.
The group decides to go sneaking up the archology.
At Muraro's Place,
Assensing (4 Hits) Wife is Unconcious, dying, mundane, has a Data Jack. Magic lower, Essence higher.
Diagnosis suffering from Heart Failure, from a toxin. No signatures, no bioware, no beta, Essence is 6-Data jack, no signatures.
Group rushes into her room, using Antidote patch (R:6), and Shirayuri doing Firstaid (5 Hits).
Medicine roll from Shirayuri (1 Hit). From what Medkit is telling us, Mrs.Muraro is injected with is medicine that has adverse effects on someone with Heart issue.
Fräulein does a fast go over of parts of the level, multiple dead people, usually 1 per apartment, multiple apartments do have people alive. Group goes back down to regroup with everyone.
Back on 30 we had broken into an office and using it to hide away for time being.
Liam, with Saffrons help, explained the situation to Mr Muraro. He is distraught.
The shadowrunners gather together to see what to do next,
idea of interrogating the nurses comes up. Fauline ascences them.
Nurses Assensing 3, and 4 Both Mundane, Both have headware
Not magical, not seen aura, essence lower,
Essence 2, mostly headware with a bit of bodyware.
Controller-San is trying to go out of the room, Liam and Shirayuri notice and run out after, seeing what is going on, Fräulein casts up a barrier dome
Session 5 - 2023/03/02

what is required by Template:Scene!Liam doesn't want to talk to them. But is convinced with the nurses blindfolded and Garbo interrogating them in a different voices.
What is happening here? I'm pretty sure I got hit in the head. I might have a concussion. Why can't I see?
Why are they installing datajacks into kids? They were ordered by Dr. Vidhava; it has something to do with diagnosing and treating the disease that's caused the quarantine.
Do they believe the biohazard is real? Of course, why wouldn't it be? (Garbo doesn't trust this answer)
Who is behind this? We don't know, and it doesn't matter. Treating the population is our job. (Garbo doesn't trust this answer)
Do they know what happened to the people on the lower levels? I don't know what you're talking about? We've been quite busy up here, keeping things contained and trying to treat them.
Anything happening beyond those lockdown levels?
Are the Red Samurai collaborating with the Drones?
How many Red Samurai are in the quarantine zone?
Do they know anything about Doctor Vidhava?
Do they know about the people who came in through the VTOL hangers?
Despite the floor having no power, an elevator arrives.
Renraku Security come out the elevator, draw tazers, and then tells Liam to come out and surrender.
He takes cover and calls out that we have company. They shoot.
Liam boosts his reflexes.
Garbo Rallies.
Shirayuri snorts some drugs to bring up her initiaitve.
Nurse screams.
Kazuki takes cover.
Loki disappears.
Mr. Muraro takes cover and ready a weapon.
Fraulein casts deflect on Garbo
Soma panics
Safron tranqs the nurse.
Renraku Security shoots at Liam and misses.
Liam runs up and punches two of them. Liam kills one of them. The other one dodges.
Shirayuri iaijutsus hor swords and attacks and kills one.
Garbo takes cover and takes aim on the back security man.
Loki lights a guard on fire.
Shirayui kills anothe security man.
Liam punches the last guard to death.
More guards come from the other direction.
Liam fires a grenade at a bunch of them. But misses.
Fraulein makes a run for it.
Shirayuri charge and attacks two of them.. Killing both.
Security moves up at Shirayuri but misses.
Loki casts Stunball on some of the security.
Security fires a grenade and every one scatters except Fraulein. Garbo jumps on Kazuki to cover him to the grenade.
Kazuki gets a mask and hands to Garbo.
Garbo goes to the crate after putting the mask.
Safron prepares to enter the cloud of tear gas.
Soma prepares to enter the cloud
Mr. Murano attempts to run through the cloud.
Fraulein sprints out of the cloud
Liam lays down supressing fire. (No defense test for supressive fire). They don't seem to care that one of them is blown away.
Shirayuri knows one of the guard.

Garbo gets a mask from the crate hands to Kazuki, grabs the crate and runs with Kazuki in tow.

Security chases us three floors down but then stop at the 27th floor.
Loki disappears in the chaos
Controller-san gets shot and dies in the chaos
We are going to go check out 21 and 22 floor.
