They go back and forth for a bit, trying to figure out various plans. The initial idea is to just run a jammer (which they do immediately, at least for temporary protection), but it would be a consistent drain on their limited power supplies. They eventually settle on just bricking her implants, but she objects as that includes her eyes and ears, which would render her blind and deaf. She's willing to leave, to keep the rest of them safe, but Tosh comes up with less ultimately fatal and more long-term idea — with a little ingenuity, they can set up one of the bathrooms with Faraday shielding.

Heading back towards their base, the group is forced to detour by a Blue patrol. Their new course leads them past a sector cleared of all interior partitions and regular furniture. A week after the attack, the shadowrunners finally return to the hideout. All of the fallen Blues and the drones are gone, including two the survivors had dragged home for investigation. Evidence of the fight remains — thousands of expended Dervish darts, and a massive blood stain that could only have come from Sharp. Anise, Kazuki, Nura, and Mukami emerge from the duct work they've been hiding in and rejoin the group.

They all realize they put too many eggs in one basket and need to take better precautions against future discovery.

While the shadowrunners make their way higher in the arcology, the original group of surviors perform some more local tasks. Things go pretty well for them, including discovering some disturbing new Banded activity.

Unfortunately, the shadowrunners' activities elsewhere in the SCIRE result in a tragic attack on their hideout.

Heading back towards their base, the group is forced to detour by a Blue patrol. Their new course leads them past a sector cleared of all interior partitions and regular furniture. Instead, it's full of monowire-topped fences, surrounding groups of fifty to sixty patients on steel gurneys with IV drips.
